Asuhan Keperawatan Pasien yang Mengalami Tetanus dengan Defisit Perawatan Diri di Rumah Sakit Umum dr. H. Koesnadi Bondowoso

Tetanus adalah penyakit yang menyerang system saraf pusat dan disebabkan oleh toksin tetanospasmin yang dihasilkan oleh bakteri tetanus (Bachilus Tetani). Penyakit ini terjadi ketika bakteri tetanus masuk kedalam tubuh melalui luka, gigitan serangga, infeksi gigi, infeksi telinga, luka tusukan atau pemotongan tali pusar. Bakteri ini berkembang biak didalam tubuh dan menghasilkan endotoksin seperti tetanospasmin. Studi kasus ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari dan memahami asuhan keperawatan pada pasien yang mengalami Tetanus dengan defisit perawatan diri di ruang Dahlia RSUD. dr. H. Koesnadi Bondowoso. Metode Penelitian: Studi kasus pada 2 klien yang mengalami Tetanus, yang dilakukan pada bulan Februari 2023, pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi, pemeriksaan fisik serta studi dokumentasi. Hasil: Asuhan Keperawatan pada Pasien Tetanus dengan defisit perawatan diri untuk klien 1 dan klien 2 yang telah dilakukan pada bulan Februari 2023 di ruang Dahlia RSUD dr. H. Koesnadi Bondowoso. Tindakan keperawatan yang dilakukan adalah melakukan personal hygine selama 3x24 jam, didapatkan kebersihan diri meningkat. Kesimpulan: Asuhan keperawatan pada klien yang mengalami Tetanus dengan masalah keperawatan defisit keperawatan diri yang berhubungan dengan penurunan kesadaran pada kedua klien teratasi sebgian. Saran: Perawat memberikan edukasi kepada keluarga pasien tentang personal hygine dan oral hygine sebagai penatalaksanaan awal untuk meningkatkan kebersihan diri.
