Abstract

Physical bullying dan verbal bullying bagaikan dua sisi mata uang. Sesorang yang menjadi korban physical bullying sekaligus juga dapat menjadi korban verbal bullying. Namun masih sedikit bukti empiris tentang hubungan keduanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara physical bullying dan verbal bullying pada remaja. Desain penelitian korelasional. Populasinya adalah remaja berusia 16-19 tahun di SMK 4 Pancasila Ambulu Kabupaten Jember sebanyak 216.  Penentuan sampel dengan rumus Slovin dan ditentukan sejumlah 133. Sampling menggunakan simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner elektronik dalam bentuk goegle form. Variabel prediktornya adalah physical bullying, dan variable responnya adalah verbal bullying. Kelas dan gender sebagai variable kontrol. Analisis data menggunakan regresi logistic biner dengan ketentuan α ≤ 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan yang bermakna antara physical bullying dengan verbal bullying dengan mengontrol variable kelas dan gender (p = <0,001; AOR = 23,029; CI 95% = 8.34 sampai dengan 63,55). Remaja yang mengalami physical bullying memiliki kecenderungan 23,029 kali lebih banyak mengalami verbal bullying dibandingkan dengan mereka yang tidak mengalami physical bullying. Oleh karena itu perlu kebijakan untuk melakukan upaya menrunkan kejadian physical bullying di tingkat sekolah menengah atas.
