Abstract

This study aims to examine the scientific activities and publishing achievements of Uzbek female scientists within the context of contemporary academic development and gender equality. The research focuses on institutional support, research productivity, publication trends, and the role of women scholars in advancing science, education, and innovation. A qualitative and descriptive research method was employed, using document analysis, bibliometric review, and secondary data from academic journals, policy reports, and higher education statistics published between 2020 and 2024. The findings indicate that Uzbek female scientists have significantly increased their participation in national and international research projects, journal publications, and academic leadership roles. However, structural challenges such as limited access to research funding, international collaboration, and work–life balance remain persistent. The study concludes that strengthening institutional mechanisms, expanding international cooperation, and implementing gender-sensitive research policies are essential to enhancing the scientific potential and global visibility of women scholars in Uzbekistan.
